The coach of Palmeiras, my favorite soccer team, got attacked in the Sao Paulo airport by Palmeiras fans. That's a pretty jerky thing to do in my opinion. NFL Playoff Predictions from Week 3 (I think)

I called my brother earlier this year and said, "This is who is going to make the playoffs, guaranteed." or something like that. Looking back I probably shouldn't have been so definitive, especially with the Bills, but whatever. Well, here are my picks with their current records and my comments on how their seasons have gone so far.

NFC

NFC East: New York (9-1)- The reigning Super Bowl champs have the advantage in one of the NFL's strongest divisions with an elite quarterback and a huge, bruising back in Jacobs.
NFC South: Carolina (8-2)- Two very strong running backs running behind a very good offensive line. Sounds like John Fox's dreams came true. They have struggled a little bit against two of the NFL's worst teams but the ship will be righted. Especially with a trip to Atlanta next week.
NFC West: San Fransisco (3-7)- I thought San Fransisco was finally going to get their act together and start winning games, especially in a really weak NFC West. Hey, they started out 2-1. Alas, I was wrong... VERY wrong...
NFC North: Green Bay(5-5)- I thought that Aaron Rodgers was going to step into Brett Favre's role and dominate in the NFC North. He has struggled but he has also been hurt for several games. He is definitely one of the top tier young quarterbacks, but will he be the next Bret Favre?

Wild Cards
Dallas (6-4)- I thought all the player drama was supposed to behind us...
Tampa Bay (7-3)- A strong running team will have a hard time down the stretch with Dunn hampered by injuries, Williams coming back from a serious knee injury, and Graham out for the rest of the season.

AFC
AFC East: Bills (5-5)- Bad play and bad coaching decisions has killed this team...
AFC South: Tennessee (10-0)- They come out and play physically every week... Look for this team in the Super Bowl.
AFC West: San Diego (4-6)- This team has been hampered by inconsistent play on both sides of the ball. LT has not been himself either.
AFC North: Pittsburgh (7-3)- Dominating defense. If the offense can maintain some consistency they are the only AFC team with a chance of beating Tennessee.

Wild Cards
Jacksonville (4-6)- They turned out to be a really bad running team. Who knew.
New York (7-3)- Who knew that someone born the same year that Richard Nixon came into office could still play football... well.
